Arville forges new links at international trade fair

Arville enjoyed a fruitful four days on the world stage, among the sector’s biggest names and greatest innovators at Techtextil in Frankfurt.

Our full sales and technical teams are back from Germany after spending the time forging and furthering links with customers and partners, old and new, from across the globe.

Arville attracted a record number of enquiries at the show from businesses based across the whole of Europe. Key to their interest was Arville’s ability to innovate and meet the needs of a growing market demand for specialist high quality, high-performance fabrics that push new boundaries when it comes to durability, strength, chemical/heat/flame resistance, lightweight and cost-reduction.

Group Head of Marketing, Andy Smith, said: “We’ve been a long-time supporter of the Techtextil events. This show is a crucial fixture in our calendar – so we are a familiar presence there. Customers know to seek us out and make contact.

“This time we had a new location, reflecting our growing international profile, and we had plenty to talk about regarding our new investment in equipment – and our enhanced capacity as a direct result of this.”

Andy continued: “our customers recognise that we are well-equipped with the right expertise and knowledge to bring these technically difficult materials to life. There is no substitute for meeting our customers face to face to discuss what we can achieve together.”

Exhibitors at Techtextil represented the entire spectrum of technical fabrics, functional apparel textiles and related technologies. Texprocess, the leading trade fair for the garment manufacturing and textile processing industry, took place concurrently.

Ambitions to expand the business are powered by a recent £1.2m investment in new weaving and warping machines, as well as a high-tech bias cutter from Sweden.

Andy continued: “We are particularly proud of our recent successes, despite uncertainty in the marketplace over Brexit. As a group of companies, we have an active customer base spanning over 50 countries worldwide, including in Europe, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific region.

“Our success so far is built upon our ability to offer a uniquely integrated manufacturing process that allows us to develop end products of high-quality fabric, engineered to have performance characteristics that exactly meet their requirements and are designed for highly-technical and demanding applications.”
